Student apartments Dresden Strehlen – living in a green area
Vibrant, sporty, and creative …
The new building of the student residence Dresden is located in the suburb of Dresden-Strehlen, August-Bebel-Strasse 17 a-c, right next to the campus. The suburb near the city centre boasts a relaxed atmosphere with mansion-style villas and park areas. The “Große Garten” (Dresden’s largest park) is only few minutes’ walk away and is a great place for sunbathing, inline-skating on generous footpaths, sailing on the Carola Lake, or relaxing in the beer garden – it doesn’t get boring!
With a number of nearby restaurants, pubs, and supermarkets for your everyday needs you won’t go hungry. The departments, faculties and research institutions of TU Dresden are only a short walk or bike ride away. TU Dresden is one of eleven German elite universities. It offers a wide range of subjects and is one of the top research universities in Germany. With some 37,000 students and 6,500 staff – of which 575 professors – it is the biggest university in the German state of Saxony. And for those who would like to use public transport, there are bus, metro, and tram stops right next to it.
In addition to the apartments (low-energy house), there are underground parking spaces with charging stations for electric vehicles and bicycle lockers. Additionally, you will find a utility room with laundromats in the basement.
